Engaged Sweeper II

We've put quite some effort in our Software Authorization database onprem, I don't think this data is synced nor visible in Lansweeper Cloud? Or am I missing something?

I don't know this should be done but one big struggle is all the drivers and native apps that comes with a PC and Windows. There should be some way to filter those out so I don't have to see them. I'm only interested in authorizing real applications.

In our software database we have over 5000 objects where most of them are "rubbish" that I don't feel the need to authorize.

Onother thing that is har to handle are allt the different version of software, I don't want to approve every single minor version but maybe I would like to approve or decline major versions.

We don't authorize every driver here. They just tend to stay in Neutral state. But we're also only reporting on the "Denied" and "Neutral + new in last 7 days".

Bulk approving those drivers is also easy peasy if you really want to do so, just filter on "Windows driver" + Neutral state and then Bulk approve all if you like everything green šŸ‘

And I think about the versioning, you need to blame software devs putting version numbers in the application name, instead of their respective fields... ā˜¹ļø

Do you manage softwares for Linux and in case you do, how do you do it?

We're not managing Linux software yet - but I've got Uyuni on my roadmap. Looks promising. https://www.uyuni-project.org/
