There are currently 3 options for software. Allowed, UnAuthorized, and Neutral. I would suggest a 4th called out of date.
I have thousands of computers in the campus network. Authorized is ok, Unauthorized is things I want to stop being used on the computers. Neutral is stuff I just haven't categorized yet. Out of Date would be good for thing that were authorized at one point and just need updating such as java or flash, vs something that is really unauthorized.
That would be helpful to have as I have to categorize out of date thngs as unauthorized so my report is overly big and I have wade through it to find the true unauthorized things.
