This is a suggestion of how I'd like the Docs part of the system to work really...

I'd like to use the Assets part of the system to also include an entry for a "building"
and then attach a doc in PDF format that has a nice visio diagram in it of the office.
This all works except i'd like the following if anyone else finds it usefull.

1) Asset type of "Building" or "Structure" ....
ip address wise im not sure, it could be blank or just use the main router ip at that site 🙂

2) It would be great if, when an DOC contains a PDF file attached the webpage for the docs could somehow tell the browse to OPEN as a page in adobe plugin for the browse directly and not prompt for a Download and Save. I'm not actually sure if this is on the server side mime types or can it be set in the webpage itself.

We have been looking (actually, still are) to link our Visio network diagrams to the Lansweeper database so that users can get details about the assets just by clicking on them in the diagram. Anything that helps automating this is welcome!

+1 on this feature. With this new version I'm really starting to shift over to Lansweeper for serious inventory. When Accounting asks for lists of equipment, it would be great of have our Visio documents directly attached (as a document) for a system or device so they can actually see where the device SHOULD be.
