Hi Guys

As part of our upgrade to windows 7 path, we want to find out what non-standard software may be running on our XP Machines.

How would I make a software report that shows all installed software ONLY on active XP machines?

Thanks!

Awesome, thank you!

I modified it slightly to function more like the "All software" report - like so:

Select Top 1000000
tblSoftwareUni.softwareName As Software,
tblSoftwareUni.SoftwarePublisher As Publisher,
tblSoftware.softwareVersion As Version,
Count(tblAssets.AssetID) As Total
From tblAssets
Inner Join tblAssetCustom On tblAssets.AssetID = tblAssetCustom.AssetID
Inner Join tsysAssetTypes On tsysAssetTypes.AssetType = tblAssets.Assettype
Inner Join tsysOS On tsysOS.OScode = tblAssets.OScode
Inner Join tblSoftware On tblAssets.AssetID = tblSoftware.AssetID
Inner Join tblSoftwareUni On tblSoftwareUni.SoftID = tblSoftware.softID
Where tsysOS.OSname = 'Win XP' And tblAssetCustom.State = 1
Group By tblSoftwareUni.softwareName,
tblSoftwareUni.SoftwarePublisher,
tblSoftware.softwareVersion
Order By Count(tblAssets.AssetID) Desc

This is what I did

Select Top 1000000 tblAssets.AssetID,
tblAssets.AssetName,
tblAssets.IPAddress,
tsysOS.OSname,
tblSoftwareUni.softwareName,
tblSoftwareUni.SoftwarePublisher
From tblAssets
Inner Join tblAssetCustom On tblAssets.AssetID = tblAssetCustom.AssetID
Inner Join tsysAssetTypes On tsysAssetTypes.AssetType = tblAssets.Assettype
Inner Join tsysOS On tsysOS.OScode = tblAssets.OScode
Inner Join tblSoftware On tblAssets.AssetID = tblSoftware.AssetID
Inner Join tblSoftwareUni On tblSoftwareUni.SoftID = tblSoftware.softID
Where tsysOS.OSname = 'Win XP' And tblAssetCustom.State = 1
Order By tblAssets.AssetName,
tblSoftwareUni.softwareName
