Summary

After upgrading Lansweeper, the Lansweeper Server service throws an error, and the Lansweeper installation becomes unavailable. The error message "Column 'IsAutoUpdateFetcher' does not belong to table" is logged or displayed.

This issue is caused by outdated or incorrect cloud database triggers that did not update successfully during the upgrade process.

Symptoms

  • The Lansweeper web console is inaccessible.
  • The following error is logged in the service log and shown when accessing the web console:

Column 'IsAutoUpdateFetcher' does not belong to table

Cause

In certain upgrade scenarios, cloud database triggers are not refreshed correctly. When Lansweeper attempts to query a column introduced or modified in a newer version, the outdated triggers cause a schema mismatch, resulting in this error.

The Lansweeper development team is aware of this behavior.

Resolution

As a temporary workaround, reset the cloud database triggers by following the steps below.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Stop the Lansweeper Server service

    • Open Services on the Lansweeper server.

    • Stop the Lansweeper Server service.

  2. Open the ConfigEditor

    • Navigate to:

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Tools\ConfigEditor.exe

  3. Update AppSettings

    • Go to the Service tab.

    • Go to appSettings.

    • Add the following key and value:

      • Key: ResetCloudDatabaseTriggers

      • Value: 1

  4. Save and restart

    • Click the Save configs and restart service button.

Expected Result

After the service restarts, Lansweeper will automatically reset and recreate the cloud database triggers. The service should start successfully, and the web console should become accessible again.
