3.5 install/SQL

I'm trying to perform a clean install of 3.5 and find that I'm getting halted when trying to setup SQL..see screen shot

Could you try to configure sql authentication manually please.

Please let us know the exact version of the sqlserver so we can test/adjust our installer.

I should add that once I click Yes, that box goes away, next is ready to be selected, I select it and get the same message as in the screen shot.
I tripple checked the SQL config. and all is as instructed in the lasnsweeper documentation.
