I recently added a bunch of computers (XP) to my domain that are on another VLAN, I can get the 2008 servers that are in the same VLAN to report in LS but not the XP clients, I get the following error:
Access denied "computer name" (computer IP)
Access denied "computer name" (computer name)
Access denied "computer name" (full DNS path)
When I go to test the connection everything passes and the LS service account is in the local admins group on XP machines.
Can anyone help with this?
Shaun

Which version of the service do you have?
The error message should show the scanning user.

Did you run the connection tester from the server to the clients?
