Hi this is my first post, so forgive me if I get it wrong!

Q1 How does the Active Directory integration work? I have set up clients using lsclient and they reported in but since I deployed the premium version, other detected clients are seen (I assume from AD) but are not reporting inventory. Do I still need the lsclient in the login script.

Q2 I have 250 remote clients over a 2Meg WAN link. Using a packet analyser I found about 1 Meg of data was sent to the lansweeper server every time a user logged in with the lsclient running. We have since upgraded to the premium version. Will we be able to reduce the data transfer over the WAN link using the premium version? If yes, how?

Q3 Is it possible to have an extra column on the software licensing report that indicates when the license expires? I have the premium version. If yes, how do I do this?

Thanks

Thanks for getting back so quickly, and sorry for my slow response back but I was unavailable yesterday.

So with regard to question 2, after the initial scan, if left unchanged, each subsequent scan reports back all the same information again rather than an update of changes occurring since last scan. Is my understanding correct? If so I have the potential for 250MB of data being transferred down a 2MB link on each user login.

Also, any plans for a release date on 3.5?

In the default waittime settings the data should be a lot less. (after the first scan)

Next week.

In the current version you still need lsclient to report logons, in the next version (3.5) lsclient is no longer required.
You can download and test the 3.5 beta from our forum.

You are also able to reduce the amount of data in the free version.
In the documentation you will find how to change the "waittime" for each scanned item.
The longer the waittime, the longer it will take for this item to be rescanned.
(For specific hardware like cdrom, baseboard, ... you can set this to a high value because this isn't changed much)

This is not standard but if you know what you are doing you can add the column in the database yourself (not recommended)
Please add Q3 to the wishlist forum with some detailed explanation. This way we can add it to a future version.
