I am trying to setup credentials to use to scan another domain, and it is not able to verify the ID. I enter the NETBIOS name, fill out the username line correctly, type in the password and hit OK. I get an error that says "cannot verify logon, wrong username or password"

My concern is that it happens to quick, barely a second. I'm guessing it's not able to reach the other DC in the other domain, although I can ping from that machine.

Any tips on how I can debug what's going on? I did go ahead and reset the password on the other domain to verify that isn't the issue.

I tried that, restarted the service, still no luck.

From that same machine I can ping the domain controllers, just can't seem to get lansweeper to connect.

PDC-01 cannot be resolved.

Try adding domain.com to the list of (append these DNS suffixes)

I ended up doing that to get past the error.

My errorlog.txt shows the following:

domain.com - PDC-01 the server is not operational
domain.com - BDC-02 the server is not operational

What exactly is it trying to do that is producing this message? Any tips on how to resolve?

There is a checkbox (don't try to authenticate).
You can use it when the other domain cannot be authenticated.
