Can't get website to work

Followed install to the letter, but cannot get the website to open - HTTP error 403 forbidden

I can browse to http://127.0.0.1/9524, but not http://127.0.0.1. Have completed every step. Have tried 4 times, same every time. Am using VMWare, Windows 2003.

I also have the following eror in the event log

The configuration of the AdminConnection\TCP protocol in the SQL instance SQLEXPRESS is not valid.

Could you post the config of your IIS server please + the an error screenshot. (maybe a bunch of screenshots in a word document)
- Could you try surfing to http://servername instead of http://127.0.0.1
- Is there a proxy server configured in your webbrowser that might block the request
