I'm using Lansweeper 4.0, with active scanning - scanning 2 domains.

I have 100% scan on my local domain - or so I thought until I checked the computer list in Lansweeper against the list of computers in Active Directory. I have found 36 computers listed in Active Directory that have not been picked up by Lansweeper. I know some of these will be old computer accounts that have yet to be deleted in AD, but I thought Lansweeper should report these as unscanned.

I have checked errorlog.txt and there is no mention of any of these.

What else should I check

I upgraded to 4.0.0.27 last week. I think that I have discovered the problem. On the second domain there are 22 computer accounts disabled so I presume that these will not be scanned.

Sorry I hope I haven't wasted your time on this one!

Yes, disabled computers are not scanned with scheduled scanning.

Any errors in the errorlog about the resolving of the adsipath?
Also make sure you are on service 4.0.0.27

I already have active scanning running and I set up a scheduled scan of my second domain as you recommended to pick up computers in AD that haven't been seen for more than 14 days.

I used adsipath dc=xx and scan selected range now. When I did this - it did trigger a scan of that domain but it didn't pick up any extra computers.

This is my second domain that I am scanning with alternate credentials. The scheduled scan resolved the problem for my local domain.

Thanks, that explains the inactive computers. So all I'm left with is the scheduled scan of my second domain not picking up all computers in AD. Any ideas?

Is it a scheduled scan or active scanning?

I've just upgraded to LS 4.0.0.27

I deleted the scan for my second domain and did a new one - it did scan but it still hasn't picked up 22 computers. No errors in the errorlog.txt.

In scanning options I have ticked the option to set to inactive if not seen after 30 days - Is that not seen by AD or LS?
