Hi,

I can't get the custom actions to work. I have shared out the LSTool folder and i can run the exe files from the folder. However nothing happens when I click on Remote control, Take screenshot, etc. Here's my script for the actions.

\\myserver\lstool\Remote control\lsremote {computer}
\\myserver\lstool\Remote Uninstall\remoteuninst.exe {computer}

Pls help. TIA

Hi,
For the customised action, the actions are run using the the windows login or the domain account that runs the application?

A few questions on active scanning below.

1. Will Active scanning attempt to scan the computers that are still in the OU but not in use anymore or will active scan only scan the computers who logs in to the domin controllder.

2. I have 2 OUs, namely Malaysia and Thailand, active scanning is only activated for Malaysia. will active scan detect the computer when a user from Thailand OU login to a computer from Malaysia domain.

I have some computers that still remain red after starting the active scan, the error mostly are ,""The RPC server is unavailable", "The remote procedure call failed", "Cannot connect to DCOM port 135 : Firewalled?" Just wondering, how is the computer detected if the firewall is enabled. I've tried to ping the computer and there's no reply. How was it detected in the first place?

Only the ones seen by the domain controllers.

Yes

It was detected because it connected to a domain controller.

Have you configured Internet Explorer to allow custom actions (http://www.lansweeper.com/kb/customactions.aspx)?

If you want to use spaces in the path to the files you will need to use double quotation marks, like this:

"\\myserver\lstools\Remote control\lsremote" {computer}
