Is there a way to eliminate the duplicate assets with the same IP Address when scanning with multiple methods?
AD Scan, IP Scan, LSPUSH, SNMP create duplicate assets.
Duplicate assets are also created via IP scan when the asset has multiple protocols: SNMP, HTML, SSH, see this on printers, switches, routers, etc.
thanks, Tony

"Duplication" is not related to the scanning methods you use or to multiple protocols being enabled on a device. Keep in mind that:
- A Windows computer's NetBIOS domain name/NetBIOS computer name combination is used as its ID. In other words: a Windows computer is not "duplicated" unless its name or domain changes.
- A network device's MAC address is used as its ID, if available. In other words: a network device is not "duplicated" if its MAC address remains the same.
- A network device's IP address is used as its ID if its MAC address cannot be detected. A network device without a MAC address may have multiple pages if its IP address has changed.
If you continue having problems, contact support@lansweeper.com and provide us with:
- Program Files (x86)\Lansweeper\Service\Errorlog.txt, as present on your Lansweeper server.
- Screenshots of all asset pages that exist for a single device.
- Screenshot of a connection test performed to the device using DeviceTester.exe: http://download.lansweeper.com/tools50/DeviceTester.exe
Perform the test on your Lansweeper server, connecting to the device's IP address, and show us the entire test window.
