Engaged Sweeper II
Hi, Is there any feature within Lansweeper to look at historical software keys that were associated with machines or is it lost when a machine is rescanned?

To explain, a PC exists and has 'product A' installed. The software keys are all visible in Lansweeper. The PC then fails, so the OS is rebuilt and rejoined to the domain with the same name. Lansweeper then rescans the PC and updates its database but, in the process, 'loses\overwrites' the product key for 'Product A'. Is this software key\PC combination retrievable in anyway?

Thanks in advance,
Trevor

Thanks for the update. We'll get around this by scheduling a regular software keys report via email.

Product key scan results will always reflect what is currently present on the client machine. If product keys are removed from the registry during a rebuild, Lansweeper will rescan the machine and report that these product keys are no longer present. No historical data is currently kept for product keys.
