Just a thought.
At the moment I know it's impossible, due to the setup of the application.
But I was wondering if it will ever be possible to have a local client like Altiris Inventory. Running under local system priviliges. This would come in handy with clients that are in the field and would remove the (possible) connection errors.
The local service would do the same as the lansweeper service. But for 1 client. On predefined intervals.
It would then keep it's data and query the server where it needs to upload the data. This would only succeed after the host can contact the server.
I'm not gonna get into the details of howto, and security. I just would like to know if it ever will be implemented.
Any ideas?
