Hi,
for any reason my Lansweeper implementation doesn't work. I just added another OU to the Active Scanning and since then I can't access the webconsole anymore.
The error message is:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user 'lansweeperuser'.
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionPool.GetConnection(DbConnection owningObject)
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.GetConnection(DbConnection owningConnection)
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionClosed.OpenConnection(DbConnection outerConnection, DbConnectionFactory connectionFactory)
at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.Open()
at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.DoInit()

I tries some different things (including creating a new user account, assigned the right permissions and changed config files) but no success.
I am using version 3.5.1 since a couple of weeks without issues.
Any ideas?

Cheers
Sascha

I'm using just a SQL user now and it everything works fine.
Thanks for your support.

The screenshot looks like the user lansweeperNZRB maps to a windows account (instead of a sql user)
Also note that the password is case sensitive

Database is in mixed mode.
Attached are the new config files and some screenshots.

After you changed the user to lansweeperNZRB
Could you post your config files again + screenshots of the login screen and the database configuration.

Also make sure that your database server is configured for mixed authentication.

Yes. The lansweeperuser is dbowner and the password is not expired.
I created a new local user (lansweeperNZRB) granted permissions dbowner permissions and changed to config files accordingly and same result. LANSweeper service is starting but the errorlog is saying: 2/09/2009 11:48:55 a.m.: Cannot connect to database, check your config file, will try again in 1 minute
Login failed for user 'lansweeperNZRB'.
2/09/2009 11:49:55 a.m.: Cannot connect to database, check your config file, will try again in 1 minute
Login failed for user 'lansweeperNZRB'.
2/09/2009 11:50:55 a.m.: Cannot connect to database, check your config file, service will be stopped
Login failed for user 'lansweeperNZRB'.
The eventviewer application log reports a failure audit: Login failed for user 'lansweeperNZRB'. [CLIENT: <local machine>].
I can logon to the server using this account, but if I want to start LANSweeper Configuration I can not logon using this account. If I use my user account I can open the LANSweeper Configuration.
Any ideas?

Could you check if the lansweeperuser is owner of the database lansweeperdb

Also make sure that the lansweeperuser password is not set to expire every-x days (that might be the problem)
