Hello
Since introducing lansweeper there have been several comments and problems. I do not know if they are related but would like opinions if they could be related. At our main office users have had their homefolder mapped to ther root of the hidden share instead of their username. In AD a user will have the homefolder mapped to \\servername\Users$\<username> and it has been like this for the last couple of years , since using Lansweeper and the lsclient in a GPO logon script, some not all but some users will logon and map to the \\servername\Users$ , they have no access to the other folders but they do see them , this causes confusion , rebooting will clear up the issue but it has a tendancy to re-occur. The other issue is at another site, they are connected by ATM to our office, they have in recent days noticed some computers slow to a crawl when accessing the network. Once again this was not a problem until Lansweeper was introduced. How can the active scanning be controlled ?? How much network traffic does it generate ?? Is there an issue with the application and DB being installed on a workstation instead of a server ??
Thanks

1st problem:
This problem was never reported before.
Are you doing the mappings using the %username% variable?
Could you please check with the command "set" from the commandprompt is the username variable is filled in (before and after running lsclient).
Are all clients affected by this problem?
2e problem:
More info about bandwith : http://www.lansweeper.com/forum/yaf_postst960_BandwithClient-to-Server.aspx
Installation on a workstation can slow down the workstation, a solution for this is to lower the amount of simultenaous scans in the lansweeperservice.exe.config file.
How many clients are scanned over the connection and what speed is it?
