Hi,
I have a situation that requires alternate credentials when scanning remote computers. We have 4 Domains, that have alternate credentials within the console for the domains however these credentials are not being used by the scanning function it seems.
I continually get WMI & RPC errors on the clients in remote domains. Is there any way of triggering a remote scan using alternate credentials to get an OS & Software scan of these pc's?
Thanks for your help.

Yes my Credentials are the NETBIOS Domain \ Username set in the alternate credentials ie;
DNS Name : thailand.corp.xyz.com
Username : BANGKOK\username
So if I understand the process correctly, If I run the LStrigger.exe from my workstation it sends the request to the Lansweeper server which then adds this scan in its next scheduled scan. So it doesn't use my credentials logged into my current PC, it uses the credentials stored for that specific domain.
Thanks for the quick reply..

Yes, that's correct.

When a computer is scanned it looks if the domain is in the list of alternate credentials and it always uses the specified account to connect.
Note that it looks for the netbios name, a common mistake is that people fill in the dns name in the alternate credentials screen.
