Engaged Sweeper
We are currently evaluating Lansweeper and have been trying the freeware edition which is looking pretty damned good

For some reason, 1 machine in our domain refuses to scan correctly. LSClient runs ok and the machine in question shows up in the web console but, with very few details populated. On the Errors screen for this computer, it gives the following errors:


Scan: OS Error: Blank
Scan: Services Error: Provider failure
Scan: Network Error: Provider failure
Scan: Printers Error: Provider failure

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

The machine in question is running XP Pro SP-3 with the firewall disabled.

I suggest to repair WMI : See point 6 : http://www.lansweeper.com/kb/accessdenied.aspx
