No Hardware or OS Info on Thin Clients running XP Embedded

I have a number of HP Thin Clients running XP Embedded with SP2 that I would like reports on. These thin clients are joined to the domain and appear to have WMI enabled.

They do show up as red (errored) and I can get a list of software with the exception of the OS and no hardware information? I have no problem getting info from laptops or desktops.

The thin clients don't need to have .net installed.
But the computer running the connection tester must have dotnet 2.0 installed

Yes. When I try to run connection tester I get an application error. The application failed to initialize properly 0x0000135

I did notice that none of these Thin Clients have >NET installed. Could this be the issue?
