We are up to 4 different printer models (and technically 2 different vendors) that use the same OID of 1.3.6.1.4.1.641.1, and this one, 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.1, I've seen 2 printers using. So if I removed these OIDs from the device list, then the scan will attempt to dynamically determine the Model, Vendor, and Type? Going to test to see how this looks.

In the latest build you can add your own OID's with the configuration utility

@joegasper
I went & double checked & those really are Lexmark printers. They are not the Dell rebranded ones.

@Ponchohobono

Actually your:
1.3.6.1.4.1.641.1 Printer Lexmark Optra Lexmark International (This is a Lexmark Optra T614.)
is really a:
Dell Laser Printer 1700n
no wait it's really a:
Dell Laser Printer W5300

It's not a Lansweeper issue (may be one to deal with), but some of these devices are using the same OID values (see my earlier post on this thread a couple up).

Lansweeper with the latest build looks like they are pulling secondary values for these devices as now for me the Device Model is at least showing correctly (yeah!):

http://cid-34ab6a14a19ad611.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/Lansweeper/same-OID-03-showing-device-type.jpg

They still show up as Hosts, not Printers, and the Vendor can be wrong. Trying to figure out where to help at this point.

1.3.6.1.4.1.1663.1.1.1.1.24 Fibre switch SB5600-08A G Ancor Communications (This is a QLogix SANbox fiber channel switch.)

I also had the DRAC from a Dell show up as a network device instead of a Remote Access Controller. It doesn't show up on the Device: Unique SNMP OID report. Let me know if you would liek any further details on it.

Not sure you can do better on this one. It's an external HP JetDirect (USB connection). Mine is connected to a Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo as the JetDirect web interface shows. But smnp/http headers don't help.

And each of their devicetest dumps:

Again, you see the different printer models with the same OID.
