We are getting a report from an agency that manages our switches located throughout the state and said they are getting an attempted telnet from the server that lansweeper is installed on. There isn't much else on this server. Is there a setting in lansweeper that would cause it to try and telnet to a router?

On the IP scanning tab, click "IP exclusions"

Is there a way to exclude a specific ip/device? I see there is an exclude for computers by using the netbios name but we want to eclude routers which all have a ###.###.###.1 ip.

What kind of access does this need? Our switches are password protected.

It's just a check to see if telnet is enabled, it doesn't try to login.

The ip scanning does this to determine the device type.
