IIS Express is no longer supported. The knowledge base instructions on how to restrict access in IIS Express are only for customers who installed IIS Express in the past and want to continue using it.
You are either using a non-Express version of IIS or UltiDev, the default web server. To restrict web console access with these web servers, you must:
- First configure the web server for authenticated access. Instructions are provided in the knowledge base article.
- Submit one or more domain user groups in your web.config file, found in Program Files\Lansweeper\Website on your Lansweeper server.
Please carefully follow the instructions in this knowledge base article. First configure your web server and then edit the web.config. If you continue having problems, please contact us at support@lansweeper.com and provide us with your web.config file and screenshots of the configuration changes you made to your web server.
