Hi .. I have a system that has admin rights. Yet I get this error on some pc's
The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)
Anything I am missing?

Firewall is turned off.
RPC service is running
WMI service is running
I get the software information but do not get the hardware information.

possible solutions :
- windows firewall is preventing acces (try Netsh firewall set service RemoteAdmin)
- RPC service is not running
- wmi service is not running

Hi!
I have the same problems and it have nothing to with the firewall because I got this error also on some of my Windows 2000 machines and they don't have any firewall.
So what can it be

Maybe a firewall is active on the target machine ?
