Hi,

is it possible to scan IP range (we have multiple vlans) for computers, or each computer have to be put manually in configuration?

Since we have more than 1500 clients this would be very nice option.

Active scanning looks for recently contacted workstations by the domain controllers, so the "not used" objects won't be found.

On the other hand: if a portable only comes in the network once a month it will be found at that time (you won't find it with ip-range scanning)

I found Active scanning option, it will find all computers in domain (or OU if I specify).
So I guess that it scans only Active directory, all computer objects.
So if I have computer object in AD, but that computer doesn't exist (computer physically removed but account not deleted), it will report it in Lansweeper anyway ?

IP range scanning is not implemented (if the xp firewall is on it's useless anyway)
You can autodetect your clients with lsclient in a login script or with active scanning.
