The error message says to repair wmi on the machine but I dont think that is the problem in my case.
I have inherited an environment with 2 lansweeper scanning servers.
the first scans AD domains and is scheduled for active scanning
The second scans IP ranges, of which we have quiet a few.
This means that everything in AD gets scanned by the first server and also by the second server as these devices also fall in to the IP ranges being scanned.
I believe that on occasion we are getting this error message on some devices because both servers are trying to scan the device at the same time.
would both scanning servers trying to scan the same device at the same time cause this error or at least interfere with the scanning of the device.
"scanning takes longer than 2 hours, repair wmi on this machine!"
