I was wondering about this as well, but haven't thought to report it yet. I was also wondering about the behavior when selecting an item from the drop-down list. Instead of taking you to the relevant page when you click an item, it puts the item in the search box and waits for you to hit Enter.

Agree. The icon at the right of the search field is an active button in most web interfaces.
