Hi All!
I moved the LanSweeper database to a new server and now it doesn't work.
The only difference is, we use 3 instances on the new server and we use aliases for each.
The problem is, if I define the server alias in the config files and when I open the LS web page the following error displayed:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user 'domain\lansweeperuser'.
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionPool.GetConnection(DbConnection owningObject)
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.GetConnection(DbConnection owningConnection)
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionClosed.OpenConnection(DbConnection outerConnection, DbConnectionFactory connectionFactory)
at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.Open()
at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.DoInit()
The lansweeperuser has the necessary permissions (owner), and I double checked the password.
Could Anybody help me please?

Dear Support!
Thank You for help, but we resolved the problem and the problem was the instance name, because I tried with instance;port and instance:port but the right format is instance,port.
Once more thanks for help, You can close the ticket.

That's fine, if I use only lansweeperuser the error is the same:
System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user 'lansweeperuser'.
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionPool.GetConnection(DbConnection owningObject)
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.GetConnection(DbConnection owningConnection)
at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionClosed.OpenConnection(DbConnection outerConnection, DbConnectionFactory connectionFactory)
at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.Open()
at DreamweaverCtrls.DataSet.DoInit()
if I define the server name as servername/instance the error is the following:
System.InvalidOperationException: Instance failure.
at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.Connect(ServerInfo serverInfo, SqlInternalConnectionTds connHandler, Boolean ignoreSniOpenTimeout, Int64 timerExpire, Boolean encrypt, Boolean trustServerCert, Boolean integratedSecurity, SqlConnection owningObject)

I tried to define port number too, like instance:port or instance;port but the result is same
Thank You!

Your configuration files should specify an SQL user and we generally do not recommend changing the default "lansweeperuser". Most likely the issue is that you changed "lansweeperuser" to "domain\lansweeperuser".
