The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)

Hello. I get this error:
The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA) KVR-SERVER (81.xx.xxx.xxx)

Lansweeper is installed on "WIN XP PC1", lsclient.exe is on "2003 server 2".
"2003 server 1" is domain controler with Routing and Remote Access Service
WIN XP PC1 is joined to domain



What may cause this problem? I have tried Knowledgebase on lansweeper website, and forums with no luck. Maybe some port forwarding would help?

Lsclient scans on the ip address it gets the request from. (in your case 81.xxxxx : the wrong one)
It should scan on iP : 192.168.1.x

In the next release there will be a switch for lsclient "/scanonhostname" to resolve this issue.
