Upgrade tips from 5.3.0.34 to 6.0.X

I want to upgrade from 5.3.0.34 to 6.0.0.22 and I do not need the Helpdesk feature. Are there any pre-install, install or post-install tips?

As always, we recommend backing up your database prior to updating. Update instructions can be found here. If you would like to hide the Helpdesk menu after installing, you can do so by following these instructions. We do plan on releasing a new 6.0 installer either this week or the next, so it might be best to wait for that update.
