Is there an easy way too determine what USB devices have been hooked up to a computer? We have a policy against USB drives, and I want to know what machines have had one inserted, so I can "Remind" some folks of our policy, or at least figure out their business reason for using them.

Thanks... While that shows some of the USB sticks out there, it does not show me all of them like USBdeview does. I'm concerned if a USB device has ever been in a computer, not just if 1 was in there when a scan was done.

The type you need is "2"

I have checked that table, and it shows Floppys, Actually HDs, Some Network drives and CD-Roms (Type 2,3,4,5)... Nothing on removable memory sticks.

You might want to check "tbldiskdrives" field "drivetype"

Yeah, I am familiar with that tool, just was wanting something that would give me it all at once.

I've tried using that tool and piping it all the machines in a file, but it ends up crashing with I feed it 1000+ machines. I may just have to try less at a time. I just was hoping LanSweeper would keep it in a table someplace.

According to this post it should be possible using a custom action with USBDeview (http://nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html😞

I haven't tried this myself, but I suppose the custom action would have to look like this:

\\SERVER_NAME\SHARE_NAME\USBDeview /remote \\{computer}
