Currently, we have Lansweeper scanning our domain (we have Premium Version) and all is well, there. Now, we are trying to scan the remainder of the computers that are not in our domain and are part of their own separate workgroups.
The separate workgroups is done, mostly, in order to set a security barrier between our domain and the DMZ computers/servers.
I have set these servers in a workgroup called DMZ and given them (each) a new administrative account in addition to the default. I followed the KB posting to scan workgroups and it is not working. The domain credentials screen has the following:
Domain: DMZ
user: .\sweepersvc
I have configured the subnet for IP scanning and set the following for authentication:
Domain 1: DMZ
Ignore Windows: False (unchecked)
I have made sure the firewall is opened between servers (the lansweeper server and the DMZ servers) for all ports. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Are you able to connect remotely with other tools (computer management)?

I entered the user information as you suggested and get the same error. Tried the following:
<workgroup>\<user>
<servername>\<user>
.\<user>
The password is correct and I can login to the desktop of the server with it. Ideas?

In the connectiontester you should also specify the alternate credentials .\username

Also, need to note that the target server is a standalone Server 2008 R2.

8/2/2010 3:25:07 PM: IPSCAN: Access is denied 0x80070005 (192.168.2.37)
WMI and DCOM are configured correctly (per the KB on your site)
Ran the device tester...
DNS test
-----------------------------------------------
Is this the correct remote IP: 192.168.2.37
If not, please check for DNS problems
\root\cimv2 Remote WMI access test FAILED
Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
Remote WMI test
-----------------------------------------------

Remote Registry test using WMI
-----------------------------------------------
\root\default Remote WMI access test FAILED
Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
The KB states to make sure the user running the Lansweeper service is an admin on the box. With that being a domain account, shouldn't lansweeper be passing the alternate credentials provided in the Domain Credentials screen?
Aside from that, all else appears okay.

Do you see any errors?
Please check the errorlog.txt file and check with the devicetester from the server to the DMZ client.
