When I try and run the Wake On Lan feature on a web page it does not work. If I copy the WOL.exe file to my computer and run it through command prompt it works.

After I click on the link through the webpage it asks if I want to do this and I click OK. Then all I see is that there was an error on the page warning on the lower left part of Internet Explorer window. Can this be fixed somehow? Do I need to copy the wol.exe file to a specific place. Or can you tell me how to setup a custom action that will fill in the mac address automatically?

The action is always remote, you need to copy wol.exe to the station where you run your webbrowser (not to the client's computer)

Is there any way of making this remote as well?

I try'ed adding a custom action
\\myserver\LS_Tools\Wol.exe {Mac}

But the {mac} isn't a valid variable.

Copy the wol.exe file on your computer to a folder which is in your runpath (c:\windows\system32 will do the trick)

All the other actions work. The error is:

Line: 8
Char: 9
Error: The system cannot find the file specified.
Code: 0
URL: http://city01/lansweeper/default.aspx?

Do all the other actions work?
Could you please post the details of the internet explorer error.

In Internet Explorer you need to add your lansweeper server to the "trusted zone" and lower the security to low. After that it will work.
Don't think it will work with Firefox unless you use "IE Tab" plugin.
