Created a custom scan but I don't want to have to go to Config\Custom Scan each time I want to use it.

In regards to your question: I'm not sure what you mean by "use". If you are referring to viewing the results of the file/registry scan: you can always create a custom report and add it to your dashboard with the Data Report widget. Sample file/registry reports can be found here and here.
