Hello, I need to know if I can add hundreds of network devices that have SNMP enabled. I have created a group with all of them, but I don't know how to make the connection between the group and the credentials. I can do it one by one, but since there are so many, I prefer to look for something massive.

Hello @MrNico
Credentials are associated to the assets via the Scan/Discovery target. You'll need to map the credential to the target to ensure that you can use your SNMP credentials on those hundreds of devices.
If they are all over the network and not associated to a specific target, you may want to consider creating a "Global Credential" (in the On-Prem console, you'll use "Default Credential"). You can create the credential there and it will then be accessible to all scan targets without having to be assigned.
To know how to help you more specifically to your environment, I'll need to know a little more.
- Is this an On-Premises (Classic) installation or the new Network Discovery?
- Will these hundreds of network devices be discovered through a single scan target?
- Do you have other SNMP credentials for other asset types that are different? This will impact whether we can assign a default/global credential.
Keep us posted. I look forward to hearing how this goes.

Thanks for the response. I currently have lansweeper onprem. My question is how to make a group of assets be scanned with a credential. The option simply does not appear, there are IP ranges, IPs, and other options, but not for a group of assets. My computers are on different networks and many IP ranges, so it is not possible to add each range.
- Is this a local installation (classic) or the new Network Discovery?
Yes, Onpremise (classic)
- Will these hundreds of network devices be discovered through a single scan target?
If possible it would be best, but I don't want to add each IP by hand.
- Do you have other SNMP credentials for other asset types that are different?
Yes, I have other devices that use the same SNMP community, most of them are linux/windows/unix computers that use LSAgent agent

Hello @MrNico
You are correct, a credential cannot be assigned to a group of assets. But I think I have a work around for you.
I was talking with another Lansweeper employee about this idea. A work around is to add your IP range(s) in a single (and disabled) scan target and assign the credential there. The key is to keep this scan target disabled.
So, if you have a /16 network, create a scan target for the entire /16 and assign the credential you'd like to use for those SNMP devices and map it into that disabled scan target.
Then, as you scan networks where those specific SNMP assets are located, Lansweeper will default to the correct credentials. It's not as clean as using Default credentials, but it should work. It's also a great way to get around the limitation of Default credentials only allowing a single credential for each asset type.
I hope my instructions are clear. Please ask for more clarity if needed.

I don't quite understand what to do, for example suppose I have these IP ranges: 10.12.0.X
10.14.0.x
10.110.0.x
192.168.136.x
(there are hundreds more, it is an example)
How can I make it search for all the network devices that already have SNMP configured? I hope you can give me a "step by step" on how to achieve this. I think it would be helpful to many.
Greetings
