We manage several locations with connected Networks. Many times we have 1 credential for a specific asset type e.g all UPS have the same credentials in all locations. It would be great if this could be mapped as well in the credentials mapping
Mapping Type=Asset Type
Mapper to = UPS
Credentials = SSH_UPS_Credential
This would be very useful for us.
Thanks

In many cases this won't be possible for non-Windows devices. In order to determine the asset type, we need to read data from SNMP or SSH which already requires credentials to be used. There may be a few exceptions where the asset type can be determined without logging on to the asset.
