I downloaded the Install – Internet Explorer 11 and have only been able to get it to work once.

I made a few modifications (close IE step). I do have the install files located in the correct location on the Lansweeper PC\Server. I got it to work on one laptop, then tried for a second laptop and started getting timeout errors. That laptop that is sitting two desks over from me that nobody is currently using. is powered on, and I can remote control it.

How long do the logs stay in Lansweeper? Is there a way to delete them?

Hi BrianM

Just had a quick look through your logs and it looks like there's a prerequisite missing preventing IE11 installing - please have a look here:- http://www.razumny.no/2015/03/resolving-error-code-0x9c47-when-installing-internet-explorer-11/

Hopefully once all the updates are done, you should be good to use the push again.

It's a bit crappy, but I don't think you can check for all prerequisites before these installs...

Hope that helps

Mat

Just an FYI for everyone: there is a cleanup option for deployment logs in the web console under Configuration\Server Options. Cleanups are performed when the Lansweeper Server service is started in Windows Services and subsequently every 24 hours.

On one of your failed machined check under the main Windows directory for "IE11_main.log"

Around the mid point of the log you should find the info on prereq's and such- will look something like the example log data below. Hopefully the log can give you a few clues on what's happening...

so I don't understand this. I pushed my IE11 script to 6 machines last night. they all failed. I pushed again, minutes later, they all passed. I did nothing to the machines in between. The first go-around they all failed with an error code 40007, failing in step 10, which is the install step for the 64-bit IE11.

Result: Deployment ended: Unknown error (0x9c47). Stop(Failure). Credential: (<domain>\<lansweep>). ShareCredential: (<domain>\<lansweep>).

Command: "\\lansweeper\DefaultPackageShare$\Installers\IE11\IE11-Windows6.1-x64-en-us.exe" /passive /forcerestart /update-no /no-default

did an update, the newest .Net framework and three optional updates were waiting. Once those were done, IE11 got updated.

Thanks for the help.
