Hi,
Can anyone thing of a good way to "archive" data of old machines just for reference?
It would be nice if this feature existing in lansweeper. basically just suck out all the data and place in a separate table just to be able to see what was last recorded.

Or is the best way to do this have an separate server running and somehow migrate the data to that one. and if so how could that be managed? Perhaps an archive script?

There are other states for this.
In version 5.1 you can also define your own custom states

I do this, I have a custom state called "Disposed" which I assign to any equipment we throw away

Well, I'd like to have a distinction between non-active, which may end up being a real device that gets removed from AD for example, and a machine we got rid of but want to keep the software/key/history details for.

You can set the assets to "non-active", then they will not be included in the default reports.
