We have been storing external barcode info in the barcode field in Lansweeper for scanned Windows systems. When we swapped hard drives between two laptops, the barcode field appears to have followed the computer name record, and isn't matching the serial number of the system in real life.
Does the barcode field stay tied to the computer name, or the serial number? Is it possible to set the barcode field to stay with the serial number of scanned systems, if we swap drives it doesn't affect our inventory system?
