So, how is everyone decommissioning computers and servers in LanSweeper? Do you set them to non-active, delete them, etc?

Hi dteague

May I ask you to post the sql statemant for your report showing duplicate Service TAGs ?

I was struggling getting my old one to work since I upgraded to version 4.

Would be really nice of you !

THANKS in advance and kind regards

I have mine setup to auto delete if I have not seen them in 90 days. All of our machines should login in that period. I also use the report for Not seen in 30 days to see what machines are not being used. This is for a network of about 2000 machines at 85 locations.

I also have some reports that track duplicate computer names and duplicate Dell service tags, as my IT staff likes to move/replace machines without letting me know.

Depends if you need to keep history and such.

I would recommend setting them to "non-active" if you want to keep historical data.
