I've giving a user "Access Website" role but they are still getting "401-unauthorized access"
ive restarted the browser, but still the same,
any suggestions?

This might be related to the browser not showing a login prompt. Please refer to this KB article in order to resolve this issue.

Just checked it this morning, and it prompted the user for his login details. (which it hadn't done before)

Could you send a mail to support@lansweeper.com with the following
- link to this forum topic
- screenshot of the error message, including the address bar with the URL
- screenshot of your setup under Configuration\Website access
- information if you are using IIS Express or IIS

Hi Daniel,
Ive tried the suggested fix, but its still the same. still getting
"Server error"
401-Unathorized access: Access is denied due to invalid credentials"
Version of lansweeper is v5300
