Hello,

we have imported about 300 offline windows PCs yesterday. we indicated the domain name, Asset Name, Asset type and serial number in the CSV. we found out today that all these imported assets were deleted from the database.

we believe this is due to the asset clean up option that is enabled in server option "Remove computers not found in Active Directory from the Lansweeper database".

our goal is, once these assets come online they will merge with the existing imported entries through the windows rename detection (matching serial number).

does anyone know the best way to manage these imported windows assets so that they are not deleted via any cleanup option.

thank you in advance.

Windows rename detection does not count as a cleanup option, so it will still affect all your assets.

thank you very much.

Just want to make sure this will not have any affect on "Windows Rename Detection" we want these offline assets to be merged with rename detection.

You would be correct on that one.

To ensure your assets are not deleted, you can exclude them from the asset cleanup options. On the assets page you can select your manually imported assets and mass edit them to prevent the cleanup options from effecting them.
