Hello.

I am trying to install the Lansweeper agent (LsAgent) on a RHEL 8 server, but it's not working. Once I run the .run file, it runs but says the software isn't installed.

Can you help me with this configuration?

Thanks.

Enzo

Do you have the installation log, or are any of these present?

  • /opt/LansweeperAgent/LsAgent.ini
  • /opt/LansweeperAgent/LsAgentlog.txt
  • /opt/LansweeperAgent/lsagentconfiguration.xml
  • /var/log/LansweeperAgentService.log
  • /var/log/LansweeperAgentService.err
  • /var/log/LsAgentInit.sh.log
  • /var/log/LsAgentInit.sh.err

Hello -- Try installing again and I was able to fix the problem. The server is firewall was blocking the port.

Thank you for your support.

Do you install LsAgent v 12.3.0.1 with superuser's rights?

Use the root user for the installation.

I downloaded the version from the link below and ran the file according to the documentation.

Hello.

Yes, I downloaded the agent from the link provided and then executed the file, but it never installed.

I did this on two different servers running RHEL 8.

Thank you.

Enzo.
