Hi everyone,
has anyone tried discovering Aruba APs before? I can't scan APs running on the controller via SNMP. I want to make sure I can do this.

I have a total of 13 Aruba APs (mix of model 315 and 345) running under a VC - Virtual Controller and all are scanning in Lansweeper. I had to edit each asset and lock in fields of "asset type", "model", "serial number", "contact", "Location", etc. They may have shown up as a switch.  If the Virtual controller can do it, I see no reason why a physical controller would not work too.
Also, If I remember correctly I think I had to SSH the virtual controller to enable SNMP. I have no special OIDs for these.

Thank you for your feedback. I will continue to investigate this issue.

Hello, no I haven't figured out a way yet.  I can scan the Aruba Wireless Controllers but not the AP's.  I read somewhere that you can't scan the AP's directly via SNMP when connected to a wireless controller.  When scanning the wireless controller the OID's of the AP's should be listed under the Scanned OIDs section but I can't get that to work either.

Hello, thank you for the information. WAP can be scanned via snmp, that's true. I wanted to ask if there is anyone who can scan APs managed via Aruba physical  controller.

Yes, we've managed to scan ArubaOS (MODEL: 635) WAPs. They natively appear as switches but you can re-categorise them as Wireless Access Point
