I really love Lansweeper, it's the best inventory software I've used. But the only thing I miss is a better inventory for Linux systems.

I don't know if this is technically possible or in the practice of the company but if the code of the linux inventory can be opened and published on github, I'm sure we could make some great improvements together.

What do you think ?

While we won't be making our scanning code public, we do have features in the works which will allow the Lansweeper community to grow exponentially by sharing and helping each other. Unfortunately, I can't give specifics yet, but we want to include more things like reports and deployment packages in Lansweeper which users can share with each other so we can all save time and manage our networks better.
