looking for some guidance/walkthrough/tutorial/video for deploying to remote systems (teleworkers, laptops, tablets, all windows machines for the most part)
currently they get scanned if they are online and vpn connected during my scan windows. Obviously there is a better/more current way. That is the reason for the post.
Probably only be about 15-20 systems half of which roam between the LAN and other networks (think travelling sales/support). The others are work at home folks who rarely travel but often are on the vpn.
ideas?
thanks

Our Kb 😉 https://www.lansweeper.com/knowledgebase/?s=lsagent
As for deployment, Lansweeper should include a deployment package for LsAgent so you can deploy it. But obviously you'll also need to meet the deployment requirements for that.
You can download LsAgent here: https://www.lansweeper.com/download/lsagent/

Aha. If you still have a legacy license, then you can still use LsPush. However, it won't really provide a benefit over scanning assets directly over a VPN. LsPush will also need the same VPN connection to transmit the data.
You could get creative and send the lsPush files to a FTP server somewhere which then get imported into Lansweeper, depending on how critical it is to scan those assets with a regular interval.

Well is LS7 released or still Alpha? I put the Alpha in a test early on and could move to it without issue but was waiting to see Alpha removed from it before betting my production system on that. Did I miss that announcement?

Since you mention the machines are not always connected to the VPN or the network. IMO it's best to use LsAgent. LsAgent will use a direct server connection if it's available and use the relay server as a backup (if you have them both configured).
Regardless which other method you use (agentless scanning or LsPush), you will always be limited by connectivity to your scanning server, which is why LsAgent was developed.
