Engaged Sweeper
Hello

I've chasing assets with multiple IP-location. Generally, there are several IP ranges that overlap themselve, so it's easy to fix. (change IP locations to not have overlap any more)

However I've got some cases for which I can't find any explanation.

Ex:
Asset A has IP 10.1.2.3, and appears twice into my report because of two different IP locations (France & India for example).
However, in Asset group menu, France IP range is not at all on this subnet.

How can it be explained ?
thanks

Depending on the report you've written, you could be checking the network addresses of each network interface; tblNetwork.IPAddress instead of tblAsset.IPAddress. This would give machines multiple addresses. Example, a wireless and a wired IP in the database. If your wired is the one you expect for India, the wireless could be in the overlapping ranges thus why it's showing up in France as well.

As far as I'm aware, it hasn't been possible to have overlapping IP Range locations for some time now.

If you have overlapping IP locations I would recommend making sure they do not overlap and also update your Lansweeper installation.

Updating might also fix your second issue.
