New to LS and want towrite Custom Actions. Any book suggestions for learning syntax etc?

I'm new to LS and I love it. I've added a dozen or so custom actions but I'm having problems with the BandWidth testing action. I think I'd have more success if I studied the language and had a book on the syntax. But I'm not even sure of all the languages involved with the components of this action. SQL,WSH,VBS?
Any suggestions on a good resource or reference guide?
