News page code button

I have a code that will show a poll and report results back to office 365. When I put the code in notepad and save as an HTML it works fine but when I try to put it in the news page using the code button all it will show is the code and not the poll. Is there something I am missing or is that not meant for that?

Unfortunately, forms are not supported at this moment in the News widget. The best thing you can do at this moment is provide a link to the poll or create links to the choices in the poll give hyperlink the choices in the new widget that way.
