About 1/3 of our printers do not report manufacturer, model, pages, etc. Lansweeper recognizes them as printers and reports them as an IP but that is all. the other 2/3 of the printers report fine. What does lansweeper need to be able to properly scan a printer?
To scan a printer in full detail snmp should be enabled on the targeted printer and an snmp credential should be added and mapped to the IP range the printer is found in. You can check the connection to a printer with the device tester as mentioned in the following article: http://lansweeper.com/kb/51/How-to-troubleshoot-devices-with-the-Device-Tester.html
